BasinCheck vs Procore: company safety or project workflows?

Compare BasinCheck with Procore Quality & Safety for contractor inspections, incidents and follow-up. Procore connects safety to construction projects. BasinCheck offers focused company safety records and founder-led onboarding around existing crew documents.

By BasinCheck, a vendor included in this comparison. Public documentation checked . No comparative hands-on benchmark.

Is Procore or BasinCheck better for contractor safety?

If your project teams already run work in Procore, its Quality & Safety tools are usually the better choice, because findings stay connected to the project and its participants. BasinCheck fits a contractor that needs its own safety records across many customers and jobs, including jobs where a general contractor controls the Procore project. As of October 2026 Procore prices by selected products and annual construction volume, with unlimited users. BasinCheck does not replace Procore's project tools, and this page does not claim a native connector.

Compare the work you need to do

Procore documents inspection checklists, observations and corrective actions, incidents, forms and customizable action plans within its construction platform. BasinCheck focuses on company safety documentation across crews and jobs. This is a comparison of safety workflows, not a claim that BasinCheck replaces Procore's drawings, RFIs, scheduling, financial or project-management tools.

Establish who keeps the safety history

Pilot example: a crew finishes one customer's job and moves to another. In Procore, check the actual project and company permissions, export options and post-project access. In BasinCheck, test how your authorized safety team retrieves records across its locations. Do not assume a general contractor's project access is the same as your own company subscription.

Use both only when there is a clear boundary

Procore can remain the construction coordination system while BasinCheck handles an agreed company safety process. Define which system owns each inspection, incident and follow-up before rollout. Test the export or integration you need and price it separately. Avoid creating duplicate records that supervisors must maintain twice.

Adapt the crew's form without replacing project tools

Bring the JSA or inspection your company uses across jobs. With BasinCheck, agree how its sections, terminology and required output map to the product, then review a completed example with supervisors. Keep Procore on the shortlist when project-linked inspections and action plans already meet that need.

Price the same scope before comparing totals

Procore publishes an upfront annual fee based on selected products and Annual Construction Volume, with unlimited users. Field Productivity is an exception priced by FTE. Request the Quality & Safety scope and implementation quote. If your company already has access through a general contractor, compare the additional cost and access limits of that arrangement with a separate BasinCheck subscription. Do not assign the cost of the entire Procore platform to a safety-only decision.

Founding Customer monthly prices, subject to availability and eligibility: Starter $149 for 50 field records; Standard $299 for 150; Pro $599 for unlimited field records. All include unlimited users. Check the pricing page for current availability, regular rates and annual options. Tailored onboarding and custom development require an agreed scope and quote. Check current BasinCheck pricing.

A comparable first-year total includes the subscription for the required seats or record volume, implementation, data migration, training, integrations and contracted support. Mark an unquoted item as unknown, rather than assigning a guessed fee. Ask for renewal pricing separately.

Rollout time depends on the agreed scope, data and acceptance tests. Ask both vendors to commit to milestones for your pilot. This page does not establish that either vendor deploys faster.

Which team fits each product?

Keep Procore Quality & Safety on the shortlist when

Your project teams already coordinate work in Procore and need safety findings connected to project participants, drawings and the wider construction workflow. Confirm the required tools and permissions rather than adding a separate system by default.

Consider BasinCheck when

Your contractor company needs its own safety recordkeeping process across different customers and jobs, while keeping existing project tools. You want inspections and JSAs mapped with the founder and reviewed with supervisors. Agree any exports or integrations separately; this comparison does not establish a native Procore connector.

Choose a wider platform when your requirements include full occupational health, environmental, quality or sustainability programs. Configurable templates do not establish that BasinCheck covers those disciplines.

Keep the structure your crew already knows

Start with the documents you use today. In tailored onboarding, we map each form to the right record type, agree the wording and section order, and review a completed example with your supervisors. A JSA should keep its job steps, hazards and controls. An inspection should keep the questions and document references your team relies on.

Bring one change you expect to need after rollout, such as a customer-specific report field or approval step. Discuss it directly with BasinCheck's founder and agree the scope, cost and acceptance test. As your crew starts using the forms, bring their feedback to the same person who helps shape the product.

For oilfield work, test an SPCC inspection through evidence capture and corrective-action closeout. SPCC inspection records support your existing plan; BasinCheck does not author or certify that plan. H₂S Release plume mapping snapshots are available through organization-enabled beta access for screening and drills. They do not replace gas monitors, contingency plans or emergency response procedures.

Plan your move from paper forms. Explore the SPCC inspection checklist.

Use a real workflow as the acceptance test

  • Use one contractor inspection on two jobs. Verify company visibility, project permissions and access after job completion.
  • Turn a finding into an owned action and retrieve its evidence and closeout history in each product.
  • Export one record with its attachments and agree which system retains the authoritative copy.
  • If using both products, test the handoff and price any integration. Confirm that the crew will not need to enter the same record twice.
  • Compare the incremental Quality & Safety access cost with BasinCheck's company plan, onboarding and required changes.

For a customization request, record when the vendor accepted the scope, the quoted cost, the promised delivery date and the actual accepted result. Compare the same change in both products. An easy template edit and a new integration are different jobs.

BasinCheck issue detail screen with a linked originating audit, assignment, due date and status controls
BasinCheck product view: an issue linked to its originating audit, with assignment, due date and status controls. This existing product capture illustrates the record to inspect during a pilot; it is not evidence of a competitor test or a customer outcome.

Before switching

Inventory templates, open actions, incident records, photos, assets and retention obligations. Test one exported record and its evidence before importing a full history. Agree field mapping, permissions, migration cost and rollback. A successful pilot does not prove that every historic record transfers automatically.

Sources and evidence limits

Official product and pricing pages establish published scope, not measured usability or implementation performance. Unconfirmed capabilities are questions for a demo, not missing-feature claims. Prices, package boundaries and availability can change.

Is BasinCheck a full enterprise EHS replacement?

No. BasinCheck focuses on inspections, corrective actions, incidents and OSHA 300/300A documentation. Keep a wider suite on your shortlist if you need occupational health, environmental reporting, quality management or complex corporate governance.

Can BasinCheck preserve our existing paper forms?

Bring your inspection checklists, JSA documents and reporting requirements to founder-led onboarding. We map them into suitable BasinCheck workflows and review the wording, sections and outputs with your supervisors. Agree scope, cost and acceptance criteria. This does not promise exact PDF layout reproduction or automatic conversion of every document.

How does BasinCheck save unfinished drafts?

Created online draft audits already autosave checklist statuses and notes. Supported offline audit, JSA and incident editors save drafts on your device. We are finalizing expanded automatic draft saving for additional record forms. Until that rollout is complete, use Save Draft where available and check the save status before leaving a form. Saving a draft does not submit it or complete an approval.
